There are just a few guidelines to ensure everyone has a pleasant experience and enjoys the site.  In general, this is not a dumping ground for crappy old books.  If you wouldn’t be happy receiving the book from us, it’s probably not appropriate that you exchange it here.  We reserve the right to reject books that are not in line with the goals of the site.  If you have several old Harlequins, please contact us for guidance prior to sending them in for exchange.

• New or used, fiction or non-fiction, hardcover, paperback or audio CD books are welcome!  Normal wear and tear is perfectly acceptable for used books. CDs must be unscratched and in the original case.
  
  
• Books must be clean and intact – no writing (except inside the front and rear covers and facing pages), highlighting or other defacing.   All pages, including the cover, must be present, intact and bound.  Some used books have the top or bottom corner of the cover cut off and this is fine.  Hardcovers without dust jackets are also fine.
  
  
• Books must not have apparent mold, mildew, insects or odor.
  
  
• Novel Action is currently limited to fiction and non-fiction books professionally published in English. We are unable to accept textbooks, reference books, magazines, comic books, plays, poetry, crossword puzzle or other game books, cookbooks, coffee table books, travel guides, home and auto repair guides or how-to books.  Outdated self-help, medical or other time-sensitive books are not acceptable.

• All paperbacks must have an ISBN number on either the back, or the inside front cover.
  
  
• Absolutely no pornography will be accepted.
  

Books not meeting these guidelines are ineligible for exchange and will be discarded unless the member pays for return shipping. If you have any questions about whether your book is acceptable, just contact us prior to mailing the book(s) in question and we’ll be glad to help!
