Chapter 417: The Reincarnation of Gods in the Fragments of Time and the Final Twist of Fate

The Reincarnation of Gods in Fragments of Time and the Final Twist of Fate

Feng Jing's consciousness was once again torn apart, as if struggling to emerge from a dark abyss that had lasted for eons. He felt as if he had been thrown into a brand new dimension, yet it defied all logic. The void before him resembled a pile of shattered fragments of time, floating in the endless darkness, colliding and intertwining with each other, emitting a faint glow. Each fragment seemed to contain a spacetime, and Feng Jing's consciousness shuttled through them, sometimes trapped in the past, sometimes rushing towards the future, unable to stop, unable to stabilize.

"Where...is this place?" Feng Jing's voice echoed in the debris, but his voice did not receive any response. Instead, it was swallowed up by the debris. It seemed that even his existence began to gradually blur in this endless void.

"You've finally arrived, Feng Jing." A strange voice echoed in Feng Jing's mind, ancient and profound, like a god from eternity past. "Here, at the core of time, lies the origin of all things. You thought you had transcended everything, but you were wrong. Every speck of dust in this fragment represents the birth and destruction of a universe. And you, Feng Jing, are that speck of dust."

Feng Jing felt a heart-wrenching pain, his consciousness nearly collapsing in this chaotic chaos. His body had long since ceased to exist, and only fragments of his consciousness and thoughts remained. He was like a wanderer thrown into the endless depths of space, unable to settle down, unable to return.

"Who are you?" Feng Jing asked with difficulty, his voice almost swallowed. "Why do you know me so well? Why do you want to trap me in this endless debris?"

"Who am I?" the voice sounded again, with a hint of disdain in its smile. "You can call me 'Source'. Yes, I am the source of all things. The entire universe, all life, all destinies, originate from me. Your current predicament is the fate that was destined for you from the beginning."

"Source?" Feng Jing was suddenly startled, and the fragments of his body and consciousness seemed to wake up from the chaos. "Are you the master of fate? Does the origin of everything come from you?"

"Of course, Feng Jing." A long, deep voice echoed, carrying a profound power. "Destiny is merely an extension of me. Time, space, and consciousness are all under my control. Your so-called 'transcendence' is merely a game I've woven for you. And you, from the very beginning, have been unable to escape."

Feng Jing took a deep breath, feeling an invisible force sweeping over him. His consciousness rapidly expanded again, as if the fragments of time in the entire void were being consumed by his presence. He gradually began to understand that his struggles and pursuits were nothing more than insects struggling in this vast web. He had never controlled anything; his true fate had already been determined.

But Feng Jing didn't give up. His will burned, and even amidst the endless debris, he felt an indescribable power surge deep within him. Even though he couldn't understand the rules of this void, couldn't reach the truth of its source, he knew he still had the possibility of change.

"What do you think you can change?" Yuan's voice sounded again, this time without any warmth. "You are nothing but an insignificant speck of dust. No matter how you struggle, you will eventually return to nothingness."

Feng Jing's consciousness was suddenly drawn by a powerful attraction toward a bright light, a realm untouched and unknown. He was drawn in and saw a doorway. The doorway radiated an incomparably dazzling light, as if it locked away all of space and time. Inside the doorway lay an entirely different dimension, seemingly concealing a whole new world.

Without any hesitation, he rushed towards the door.

However, when Feng Jing stepped into it, the entire void underwent another drastic transformation. The radiant doorway shattered, disintegrating into countless scattered points of light. Feng Jing's body once again experienced countless explosions and rebirths. He felt himself being constantly twisted, compressed, and then expanded again, his consciousness repeatedly traveling through time and space, across countless universes.

With each journey, Feng Jing seemed to grow stronger, yet also more tormented. His consciousness could no longer clearly discern what was real and what was unreal. Every time he thought he had everything under control, the rules of fate, like an invisible hand, effortlessly pushed him into a new abyss.

"No matter how you struggle, Feng Jing," Yuan's voice echoed again, a hint of sarcasm in it. "You are nothing but a speck of dust among my countless creations and destructions. Everything you've experienced is the fate I bestowed upon you. Every time you resist is the climax of my design."

Feng Jing felt a sharp headache, as if the entire universe had exploded in his mind. His consciousness was once again fragmented, as if he had fallen into an endless black hole, and each time he was reborn, he became more empty.

Yet, within that endless darkness, an unquenchable flame still burned deep within Feng Jing's heart. He didn't know what he was pursuing, nor where his future would lead him. But one thing he knew: no matter how Yuan controlled everything, he could still create a trace of his own frenzy within this endless cycle of fate—a trace of Feng Jing's own, a force of complete subversion.

"Perhaps, this is my destiny." Feng Jing whispered, his voice carrying a calmness and determination he had never had before. "No matter what, I will break through all of this. Not even you, Yuan, can stop me."

As Feng Jing finished speaking, the entire void began to tremble violently, as if responding to his final challenge.
