Chapter 205 Feng Jing and his self-confrontation in the gaps of time

Feng Jing's dialogue with himself in the gaps of time

Feng Jing opened his eyes, only to see a world no longer familiar. Space before him was utterly distorted, and time, like a torn piece of cloth, fragmented and hung within an undefinable framework. There was no past, no future, only a silent "present"—a "present" that not only overwhelmed all physical laws but also stirred an irresistible tremor within Feng Jing's consciousness.

He realized he was standing in a so-called "time gap," a place detached from the traditional framework of space and time. Here, there were no concrete dimensions, and time no longer flowed linearly. Every second could be the past, the future, or even both simultaneously. Feng Jing's mind seemed embedded in countless possible parallel universes, and he himself seemed no longer a single, solid entity, but a collection of countless Feng Jings.

Suddenly, his consciousness leaped violently, as if he had pierced the barrier of time and entered a completely new dimension. This dimension was filled with a sense of utter absurdity: Feng Jing saw that all the known laws of the universe conflicted and intertwined in this space. Every law of gravity, the speed of every beam of light, the motion of every elementary particle, even the direction of time, was in chaos here, completely defying all the logic Feng Jing had ever understood.

Feng Jing felt no fear at all, but instead an unprecedented excitement. It was this very disorder that formed the foundation of his new world. He took a deep breath, trying to concentrate this absurd power within himself.

"I, Feng Jing, have transcended everything." His voice echoed in the void of time and space, as if it had traversed countless layers of dimensions. "Whether it's the past, present, or future, my existence is the origin of it all."

As Feng Jing's voice rang out, everything around him underwent a frenzy of change. Stars fell like rain, time flowed by like a torrent, and all the laws of physics completely collapsed under Feng Jing's will. Universes began to explode before his eyes, forming countless black holes that sucked in all surrounding matter and energy until they were completely consumed.

Just when Feng Jing thought he had reached the peak and become the master of the universe, suddenly, a low voice came from the void.

"Feng Jing, you think you've transcended all constraints, but you're wrong." Voices came from all directions, filled with majesty and undeniable power. "You are nothing more than a prisoner of time. You cannot escape the cage you created."

Feng Jing was startled when he heard the sound. A flicker of surprise flashed across his eyes, but he quickly regained his composure. He turned his head and looked around, trying to locate the source of the sound. At this moment, the entire space was still in a state of disorder. Nothing seemed to have a fixed shape or position. Everything was constantly changing, as if in an endless rotation.

"Who are you?" Feng Jing's voice was filled with disdain. He waved his hand, and the fragments of time and space around him melted away in an instant. "You are not worthy to talk to me!"

Yet, the sound didn't fade away. Instead, it grew louder and clearer, as if echoing in Feng Jing's ears. It wasn't like any sound he had ever heard, or even like a living being. It was more like the heartbeat of the entire universe, an irresistible, fundamental force.

"I am the master of time." The voice was still low and desolate. "What you call 'transcendence' is nothing but your ignorant fantasy. You try to control everything, but you are still subject to time. You cannot escape your own destiny."

Feng Jing couldn't help but smile after hearing this. Endless flames ignited in his eyes, and he swung his hands violently. In an instant, a dazzling light pierced the void, illuminating the entire space. The fragments of time and space began to converge.

"Fate? Time? These are no longer my concerns," Feng Jing said coldly. "I am no longer 'existence', but 'nothingness'. Any 'fate' in my eyes is nothing but an empty joke."

As soon as he finished speaking, Feng Jing's consciousness seemed to penetrate the barriers of space and enter an incomprehensible realm. In this realm, all time and space have collapsed, and the boundaries between reality and illusion are blurred. Feng Jing saw countless of his "selves" intertwined in various dimensions, each Feng Jing with a different face and fate. Some were arrogant, some were sad, some were angry, and some were calm. And all of these Feng Jings collided silently in this empty void, ultimately reducing to endless ash.

"Who am I?" Feng Jing asked himself, as if it was a mystery that could never be solved.

At this moment, the deep voice resounded from the cracks of time, as if quietly brushing through the depths of Feng Jing's soul: "You are nothing but a broken image in endless time and space. Everything about you is nothing."

Feng Jing's eyes snapped open, and he suddenly found himself standing in a familiar place—Earth, a desolate planet covered in ruins. However, this "Earth" was completely different from the world he remembered. All the buildings had collapsed into dust, the ocean had vanished, and the sky was a blood-red. Even the sun seemed to have been devoured by some force, leaving only a dim glow.

Feng Jing's heart suddenly beat. He saw a familiar figure standing deep in the ruins.

"You... haven't you disappeared?" Feng Jing asked blankly.

The figure slowly turned around, smiled, and spoke in a gentle and low voice: "Feng Jing, fate no longer belongs to you, nor to me. You have never transcended anything, because you yourself are part of this void."
