Journey to the West: Man in heaven, working nine to five

#2282 - Cultivation cannot be promoted

#2282 - Cultivation cannot be promoted

Just as Chu Hao reached the peak of the Earth Saint realm and was about to take the final step towards becoming a Heavenly Saint, a true Primordial Saint...

Suddenly, an invisible and immense force appeared, suppressing Chu Hao's cultivation and preventing him from entering the Primordial Saint realm.

And it didn't stop there. That force pushed Chu Hao's cultivation back a level, returning him to the middle stage of the Earth Saint realm.

This was equivalent to wasting most of the resources Chu Hao had consumed, resources he had painstakingly accumulated, just like that, gone.

Chu Hao naturally said this to the system.

Chu Hao didn't understand the reason for this invisible force, and probably no one else would either, but the system definitely knew.

That's why Chu Hao questioned the system so aggressively. If the system didn't give him an explanation, Chu Hao would fight it to the death.

[System notification: The rules of the Three Realms are locked. There are only six Primordial Saints within the Three Realms, and they cannot accommodate more.]

[If the host wants to reach the Primordial Saint realm, there are only two ways: 1. Withdraw from the Journey to the West cause and effect and cultivate slowly on your own; 2. Kill one of the six saints and replace their position as a Primordial Saint.]

"Damn it!"

Chu Hao couldn't help but curse at the system's answer.

So there were such rules in the Three Realms. Why didn't it warn him earlier, causing him to waste so many resources?

Moreover, the two methods provided by the system were both so unreliable and full of pitfalls.

Withdrawing from the Journey to the West cause and effect was absolutely impossible. Only by relying on the Journey to the West could Chu Hao complete his tasks and obtain rewards. Without the Journey to the West cause and effect, how long would he have to cultivate?

Killing the six Primordial Saints was also a task of hellish difficulty. Among the six Primordial Saints, the Heavenly Court occupied three.

Not to mention that the Three Pure Ones were Primordial Saint realm cultivators, immortal and indestructible, even if they could be killed, Chu Hao, as the Heavenly Court's Three Realms Jail God, couldn't do such a thing.

As for Bodhi, he was Sun Wukong's master. Chu Hao and Sun Wukong were brothers, so how could he attack his master?

That left the Mother of the Earth, the ancestor of humanity, the Goddess Nüwa, and the reincarnation of the Buddha-to-be, the Tathagata Buddha.

Goddess Nüwa had an excellent reputation in the Three Realms, her prestige was too high. Anyone who dared to touch her would probably be ostracized by the Three Realms and condemned by millions of people.

As for the Tathagata Buddha, Chu Hao could attack him, but they had fought before and were at best evenly matched.

Moreover, these six Primordial Saints, except for the Tathagata Buddha, rarely interfered with the Journey to the West cause and effect and didn't interfere in the Three Realms situation.

This led to the fact that within the Three Realms, only the Tathagata Buddha appeared to be an active saint.

"Forget it, since I can't advance for the time being, let's change the method."

Chu Hao was temporarily helpless and could only refocus his attention on the Journey to the West.

"Tang Sanzang and the others should still be staying in Yuhua City, right? I'll go and meet up with them first."

Chu Hao said, having made up his mind.

In Yuhua City, Tang Sanzang and his four disciples had been idle for some time.

For a while, the Heavenly Court, the Western Paradise, and the Demon Clan were all dealing with the Nine Nether Demons, and no one had time to pay attention to them.

Tang Sanzang and his disciples took this opportunity to restore order to Yuhua City. Now, the people of Yuhua City lived and worked in peace, and the city was beginning to recover its prosperity.

The people of Yuhua City were naturally infinitely grateful to Tang Sanzang and his disciples and treated them extremely well.

Tang Sanzang and his disciples didn't want to cooperate with the Western Paradise from the bottom of their hearts. Being able to enjoy a leisurely time and worldly pleasures in Yuhua City was naturally wonderful.

It could be seen that during this time, the four masters and disciples were all rosy-cheeked and their bodies were slightly plump.

But the Tathagata Buddha, having suffered a loss at the hands of Chu Hao, once again focused his attention on the Journey to the West.

He immediately sent his capable general, Guanyin, to Yuhua City to urge Tang Sanzang and his disciples.

When Guanyin arrived in Yuhua City, Tang Sanzang and his four disciples were feasting and laughing heartily.

"Tang Sanzang, why are you and your disciples so lazy? You're actually eating, drinking, and having fun here! Why don't you hurry up and continue your journey west?"

Guanyin reprimanded Tang Sanzang and his disciples with a lecturing attitude, speaking in a loud voice.

In fact, Tang Sanzang and the others knew that the Western Paradise would definitely send someone to urge them, and they had long thought of a response to Guanyin's questioning and reprimand.

"Amitabha, Guanyin Bodhisattva, you are wronging this poor monk and his disciples."

Tang Sanzang said to Guanyin, putting on a wronged look.

"Where do this poor monk and his disciples have the mind to eat, drink, and have fun? This is just a celebration.

We heard that demons were causing trouble, and this poor monk and his disciples were worried about the Three Realms and prayed for the common people, chanting scriptures and worshiping morning and night, and being unhappy every day.

Now that we hear that the Western Paradise has joined forces with the Heavenly Court and the Demon Clan to exterminate the Nine Nether Demons, we pay our respects to the great meritorious deeds of the Western Paradise, so we are celebrating for a few days to express our respect for the Western Paradise and our gratitude to the Buddha."

Tang Sanzang's explanation made Guanyin feel that there was some truth to it.

"Yes, Bodhisattva, why don't you join us in raising a glass to celebrate?"

"We are sincerely celebrating the meritorious deeds of the Western Paradise. Does the Bodhisattva think that's wrong?"

"Does the Bodhisattva think that such a major event in the Western Paradise is not worth celebrating?"

Sun Wukong and the other two also took the opportunity to echo Tang Sanzang, refuting Guanyin.

"This... Although the righteous deeds of the Western Paradise are worth celebrating, you can't delay the Journey to the West plan.

Now the Buddha has ordered you to continue your journey west. You must hurry up and not delay any longer, otherwise the Buddha will blame you."

Guanyin was refuted and was speechless, so she could only change her attitude and bring up the Buddha's orders to urge Tang Sanzang and his disciples.

"Bodhisattva, we can go west, but Immortal Chu Hao hasn't arrived yet."

"We are with our boss, how can we go west without our boss?"

"My brother hasn't come, we can't leave him behind."

When Tang Sanzang and his disciples heard Guanyin bring up the Tathagata Buddha, they naturally used Chu Hao as a response.

"Why doesn't the Bodhisattva invite Immortal Chu Hao over?"

Tang Sanzang asked Guanyin tentatively.

Guanyin's face immediately darkened. She had suffered countless losses at the hands of Chu Hao.

Guanyin was trying to avoid Chu Hao, so how could she dare to offer herself up?

Just as Guanyin was feeling embarrassed, Chu Hao also arrived in Yuhua City.

"Guanyin, I didn't expect you to be here to welcome me. It seems I've arrived just in time."

After Chu Hao appeared, he smiled at Guanyin Bodhisattva.

But Chu Hao's appearance was not a surprise to Guanyin, but a fright. Chu Hao's arrival made her face even more ugly and added a bit of fear.

"I'm just here to convey the Buddha's words, to tell you to hurry up and continue your journey west. Now that I've conveyed the message, I have important matters to attend to, so I'll take my leave."

When Guanyin saw Chu Hao, she was like a mouse seeing a cat. She left a sentence and fled.
