Su Jinxiu saw through Gu Yu's hypocrisy at a glance and responded coldly, leaving Gu Yu feeling humiliated.

When she arrived at the temple, she found that Gu Yu was waiting for her.

"Su Jinxiu, you've finally come." Gu Yu smiled smugly.

Su Jinxiu's face darkened: "It's you again, what exactly do you want?"

Gu Yu stepped forward and said insincerely, "Jinxiu, I just want to have a proper talk with you."

Su Jinxiu snorted coldly, "I have nothing to talk to you about."

Gu Yu hurriedly said, "Jinxiu, don't be so heartless. Actually, I know the secret of your rebirth. As long as you make up with me, I promise I won't tell anyone."

Su Jinxiu was startled, but quickly regained her composure: "Gu Yu, stop talking nonsense. I don't know what you're talking about."

Seeing that she wouldn't admit it, Gu Yu continued, "Stop pretending, Su Jinxiu. From your change in attitude towards me and your current behavior, I can tell that you've been reborn and want revenge."

Su Jinxiu glared at him: "So what if I'm reborn? Do you think you can threaten me?"

Gu Yu said, "Jinxiu, as long as you come back to my side, I can help you deal with Su Yue, and we can live a good life together."

Su Jinxiu sneered, "Do you think I'd still believe your nonsense? Gu Yu, I've seen through your intentions long ago. You're nothing but a selfish and petty person."

Gu Yu's face turned ferocious: "Su Jinxiu, since you are so ungrateful, don't blame me for being impolite."

As he spoke, he suddenly reached out to grab Su Jinxiu.

Just then, Xiao Ling appeared with his guards.

"You audacious scoundrel, how dare you be so disrespectful to Miss Su!" Xiao Ling roared angrily.

It turned out that Su Jinxiu had sensed something was amiss before setting off and had informed Xiao Ling in advance.

When Gu Yu saw Xiao Ling, he was so frightened that he backed away repeatedly.

"Your Highness, spare my life!" Gu Yu knelt down and begged for mercy.

Xiao Ling said coldly, "Take him away and interrogate him properly."

The guards dragged Gu Yu away.

Su Jinxiu looked at Xiao Ling gratefully: "Thank you, Your Highness, for saving me again."

Xiao Ling smiled and said, "As long as you are safe and sound, that's all that matters."

After this incident, Su Jinxiu and Xiao Ling's relationship deepened even further.

However, Gu Yu did not behave himself in prison. He bribed the prison guards to pass messages to Su Yue.

Su Yue panicked upon learning of Gu Yu's arrest. Fearing he would reveal their entire conspiracy, she decided to expedite her operation.

She found a distant relative of the Marquis's family and spread rumors in his presence, saying that Su Jinxiu was having an affair with a man outside the family and was ruining the reputation of the Marquis's family.

This relative believed Su Yue's words and caused a scene at the Marquis's residence.

When the old lady found out, she summoned Su Jinxiu for questioning.

"Jinxiu, what's the story behind the rumors outside?" the old lady asked with a serious expression.

Su Jinxiu explained, "Grandmother, those are all false accusations. It was Su Yue who was behind it all."

The old lady asked with a hint of doubt, "Is that really true?"

Just then, Su Yue walked in.

"Sister, how could you do such a thing and frame me?" Su Yue pretended to be wronged.

Su Jinxiu glared at her: "Su Yue, stop pretending here."

Su Yue cried and said, "Grandmother, you must do justice for me."

The old lady was getting a headache from their arguing and didn't know who to believe.

Just then, Xiao Ling arrived at the Marquis's residence with evidence.

“Madam, I have investigated this matter and found that Su Yue is framing Miss Su,” Xiao Ling said.

It turns out that during the interrogation of Gu Yu, Xiao Ling learned of Su Yue's conspiracy and collected relevant evidence.

After seeing the evidence, the old lady was furious: "Su Yue, how could you do such a thing? You have utterly disgraced the Marquis's mansion!"

Su Yue collapsed to the ground, speechless.

After this incident, the Marquis's residence finally returned to peace.
