Chapter 381 Step by Step Shocking Jade Tan 3
Chapter 381 Step by Step Shocking Jade Tan 3
"Get up. I like watching you grinding ink." Kangxi said as he gently helped Yu Tan up and let her sit next to him.
Yu Tan did not dare to disobey, so she had to pick up the ink stick and gently grind it on the inkstone. Kangxi's eyes always stayed on her, as if he could not see enough.
Kangxi's fingers gently slid across the back of Yutan's hand, and a tingling sensation rushed straight to her heart. Yutan almost wanted to pull her hand back, but she didn't dare to, so she could only let Kangxi hold it.
"This ink must be ground finely and evenly to write good characters." Kangxi said, covering Yutan's hand with his other hand and guiding her to grind slowly.
Yu Tan felt her whole body stiffen. Kangxi's breath sprayed in her ears, making her heart beat like a drum and her cheeks red like ripe apples.
"Your Majesty..." Yu Tan's voice was as thin as a mosquito, with a barely perceptible tremor.
Kangxi seemed not to hear it. His eyes fell on Yutan's red earlobe, and a playful smile appeared at the corner of his mouth.
"I think that you, a little palace maid, are much more interesting than those concubines." Kangxi said with a hint of teasing in his tone.
Yu Tan lowered her head and did not dare to answer. She knew that she was just a little palace maid, how could she compare with those high and mighty concubines?
"What? You don't speak? Are you afraid that I will eat you?" Seeing that she didn't speak, Kangxi teased her deliberately.
"I dare not." Yu Tan knelt down quickly, feeling uneasy. She didn't know what Kangxi meant, and she didn't know how to respond.
Kangxi looked at Yutan kneeling on the ground, and suddenly felt a trace of pity in his heart.
"Get up, I was just joking with you." Kangxi said, and personally helped Yutan up.
"Thank you, Your Majesty." Yu Tan lowered her head, not daring to look into Kangxi's eyes.
Kangxi looked at her cautious appearance, and felt even more fond of her. He suddenly remembered that he had not been able to get along with others so easily for a long time.
"Can you read?"
Kangxi's voice brought Yu Tan back to her thoughts. She quickly withdrew her hand, twisted the corner of her clothes nervously, and whispered, "Your Majesty, I...I can't read."
Kangxi felt amused when he saw her flustered look.
This girl, obviously born with a very smart mind, pretends to be ignorant of the world. It's really interesting.
"It doesn't matter if you can't read. I will teach you." Kangxi said, and stood up and walked to the bookshelf, took down a collection of poems, opened a page, pointed to the words on it, and began to teach word by word.
Yutan was already very clever, and Kangxi taught her patiently. After a while, she memorized several words. Kangxi was even more satisfied when he saw that she was studying hard.
"Your Majesty, I am... I am clumsy, and I am afraid... I am afraid that I have failed your expectations." Yu Tan's voice was as thin as a mosquito, with a barely perceptible tremor.
Kangxi felt more and more pity for her as he saw her cautious appearance.
"Your Majesty..." Yu Tan leaned in Kangxi's arms, feeling that his embrace was warm and safe, making her want to rely on him.
Kangxi gently stroked her hair and said softly, "I've said that you don't have to be so reserved in front of me in the future."
Kangxi held Yutan's hand and guided her to write stroke by stroke. Yutan's fingers were slender and soft, and they seemed boneless in his hand.
Kangxi's gaze moved from her fair and slender neck, down to her chest which was slightly rising and falling due to nervousness, and finally stopped at her hand holding the brush.
"Your Majesty..." Yu Tan felt Kangxi's burning gaze, and her heartbeat accelerated and her cheeks became hot. She wanted to pull her hand back, but she didn't dare to, so she could only let Kangxi hold it.
"Huh? What's wrong?" Kangxi's voice was low and magnetic, with a barely perceptible hoarseness.
"No, nothing." Yu Tan lowered her head quickly, not daring to look into Kangxi's eyes. She felt her heartbeat getting faster and faster, as if it was about to jump out of her chest.
"I see that you, girl, are easily shy." Kangxi said with a playful smile on his face.
"I dare not." Yu Tan's voice was as thin as a mosquito, with a barely perceptible tremor.
Kangxi looked at her cautious appearance, and felt even more fond of her. He suddenly remembered that he had not been able to get along with others so easily for a long time. Those concubines, each of them was heavily made-up, and their words and actions were calculated. How could they be as pure and lovely as this little girl in front of him?
Thinking of this, Kangxi held Yutan's hand a little tighter.
"Ah!" Yu Tan felt pain and couldn't help but let out a soft cry.
"What's wrong? Did I hurt you?" Kangxi then realized that he had lost his composure and quickly let go of her hand.
"I'm fine." Yu Tan rubbed her slightly red wrist, lowered her head and dared not speak.
"Let me see." Kangxi said, pulling Yutan's hand and examining it carefully.
Yu Tan's wrist was as white as jade, but because of Kangxi's force, it was left with an obvious red mark.
Kangxi suddenly felt a little guilty. He gently stroked the red mark and asked softly, "Does it hurt?"
Yu Tan felt that Kangxi's fingers were like an electric current, which made her feel numb all over. She wanted to pull her hand back, but found that Kangxi was holding it tightly and she couldn't get away at all.
"Your Majesty..." There was a hint of tears in Yu Tan's voice. She didn't know what Kangxi wanted to do, and she didn't know how to respond.
Yutan's heart was beating fast. Kangxi's touch seemed to have ignited some strange emotions in her body. She felt like a small animal that had strayed into a trap and could only helplessly allow the hunter to control her.
Kangxi looked at Yutan's blushing face, and the desire to conquer her in his heart became stronger. He suddenly pulled Yutan closer, and Yutan screamed and fell on Kangxi's legs.
"Your Majesty..." Yu Tan tried to get up in panic, but Kangxi grabbed her waist.
"Don't move." Kangxi's voice was low and hoarse, with a hint of domineering attitude that could not be refused.
He looked down at the woman in his arms. Her delicate skin was as soft as the finest mutton-fat jade and exuded a faint fragrance that made people want more.
Kangxi kissed Yutan's earlobe and nibbled it gently, his warm breath spraying on her sensitive skin, causing her to shudder. Yutan had never experienced anything like this before, she felt like she was floating in the clouds, light and fluttering, yet with a hint of inexplicable fear.
"Your Majesty...Your Majesty...No..." Yu Tan refused intermittently, but this weak resistance sounded like some kind of invitation to Kangxi.
Tears fell from Yutan's eyes, one by one hitting the back of Kangxi's hand, burning his heart. He had never seen such a weak and helpless look, like a frightened deer, lovable and yet making people want to destroy it.
