"Let’s go see your family first. We’ll talk about these things later." Chu Miao urged him.
"Yes..yes..yes...let’s go. I’ll take you there." Monkey immediately replied and started walking, leading Chu Miao a bit deeper into the community.
"I hope we don’t meet those people. They don’t show mercy just because someone looks like they will die the next moment." Monkey muttered softly, almost to himself.

"Hey big guys, can you let the girl go? I will do whatever you want, just let her leave. She is not from here." Monkey tried to reason with them but even Chu Miao could tell that it wouldn’t work, especially with the way they were looking at her.
Those disgusting looks made her want to gorge their eyes out.
"Who do you think you are to interest us? What could we ever do to you? However, this little beauty is another story. If you give her to us, we might spare your wife and daughter. You have given us almost everything you own just so that we won’t touch them. If you give this beauty to us, we can waive your supplies for a month. How about it?" The leader asked, then laughed as if he had thought of something interesting.
"No. I can’t do that. Just to save my family, I can’t ruin another life. If my wife and daughter knew that I used such a despicable way to save them, they would hate themselves for life. So, my answer is no." Monkey didn’t even think twice before he replied.
Moreover, he stood in front of Chu Miao in a protective stance.
It was as if he was saying that if they wanted to touch Chu Miao, they had to go through him.
"C’mon, stop being so stubborn. If you don’t willingly offer this girl to us, then we’ll take your daughter today. You don’t want to know what we will do to that toddler." Another man in the group said wretchedly.
Monkey was silent for a moment before speaking.

Chu Miao looked at him with a complicated expression and sighed.

She didn’t need to ask to know what he was planning.
He would never let his wife or daughter suffer humiliation, so, he was planning to die together with his family when he went back.
Thinking that there was actually someone who could willingly give their life so that others could live in the apocalypse was nothing short of a miracle.
Chu Miao felt her heart tremble at the thought.

Monkey stood behind her, shocked by the scene that had just ended in front of him.
He knew before that Chu Miao was strong, but he always thought that she was just a bit stronger than ordinary people with a superpower.

"Let’s keep going." Chu Miao wasn’t in the mood to talk nonsense, so she just killed and moved on.
Monkey led the way to his house.
