Chapter 399 - 398: Are You Planning to Marry Me?

"Really?" Bella was indeed feeling a bit sleepy, she blinked at him.

Damian tucked the blanket over her, "When have I ever lied to you? Go to sleep."

Bella thought about it and agreed, but then she turned her head and said, "Wait a minute, you said you’d tell me how to eat without worrying about gaining weight after coming back, but you haven’t told me yet, didn’t you lie to me?"

"Go to sleep first, I’ll tell you after dinner."

"Alright." Bella obediently tucked herself in and said, "Damian, whoever lies will become a puppy."

"You’re already Acker the Puppy, who else would become a puppy? Go to sleep." Damian said, leaning down to plant a kiss on her brow.

Bella closed her eyes and fell asleep shortly after.

She didn’t know how long she had slept, but when she woke up, only the faint city lights came through the window.

Bella lifted the blanket and got out of bed; the air conditioner was on, so it wasn’t cold.

She found her slippers, dazedly opened the room door and went out, taking a few steps before smelling the enticing aroma.

"Braised pork knuckles, Damian, did you really make braised pork knuckles?" Bella walked into the kitchen and saw a plate of glossy braised pork knuckles on the counter, practically drooling with hunger.

Damian turned his head to look at her, "Awake?"

"Mm." Bella pinched a bit of pork knuckle with her fingers and popped it into her mouth, happily eating it before rubbing her belly and saying, "Awakened by hunger."

She had wandered the streets all day and only had a Japanese meal with Bella for lunch.

To be honest, such a small portion wasn’t enough to fill her up.

"Are your hands dirty?" Damian glanced at her and said, "Wash your hands and get some utensils, we can eat now."

Bella stuck out her tongue, "I washed my hands before sleeping." Saying this, she obediently got some utensils, washed them, and rinsed her mouth briefly.

While she dawdled, Damian had already served snow-pea pig trotter soup from the pressure cooker and took out steamed bass from the ringing microwave.

Bella widened her eyes in surprise, "Damian, did you really make all the dishes I mentioned?"

Damian glanced at her and took out braised meatballs from the steamer, proving with action that he truly made them all.

Damian took each dish to the dining room and said, "The braised meatballs weren’t steamed long enough, the taste might be a bit off."

"No way, no way." Bella shook her head like a rattle drum, "Everything you make is delicious."

Damian glanced at her, a soft smile appearing in his eyes, "Take the utensils to the dining room, I’ll toss this salad and then come out."

"Okay." Bella obediently took two sets of utensils to the dining room and set them up, sitting down like a well-behaved child waiting for the meal to start.

Damian finished tossing the vegetable salad and brought it out, seeing her sitting still, "Why are you sitting there doing nothing?"

"Waiting for you." Bella beamed, picking a braised meatball to place in his bowl, "Damian, making all these labor-intensive dishes, you worked hard."

"You eating all this is also hard work." Damian picked up a piece of pig trotter for her.

Bella’s face turned red, she chewed on her chopsticks while looking at him, "Damian, would you mind that I eat too much?"

Damian eyed her, "Don’t chew on chopsticks, be careful not to poke your mouth, what if our future kids learn from you?"

Bella put down the chopsticks, muttering quietly, "We haven’t even gotten married yet, where would kids come from."

Damian raised an eyebrow, "Does that mean you’re planning to marry me?"
