Chapter 363: Avoiding medical treatment
Chapter 363: Avoiding medical treatment
After lunch and afternoon tea, at around three o'clock, Mrs. Seaforth got up and said goodbye to Mrs. Wolfhard with her two children.
Mrs. Wolfhard reluctantly held her hand and said, "Leaving so early? It's still a long way to go before dark. At least have dinner before you leave."
Mrs. Seaforth said helplessly, "That's what you said when we were leaving at noon. You might as well let us stay."
"Sure! As long as you're willing, I'd love to have you do it! You don't know how bored I am when I'm alone at home..."
While the two mothers were greeting each other, Xu Weiwei stared straight at Finn and blinked at him, trying not to make her hint too obvious.
Don't forget what you promised me! You can't let me ask you for it in front of my elders, right?!
Finn felt amused, and if he wasn't afraid of not being able to hold back his laughter, he would have wanted to pretend for a while longer.
"Butler, please ask a few male servants to come upstairs with me."
Seeing that Finn finally spoke, Xu Weiwei was completely relieved and gave him a big smile with a hint of flattery.
Finn couldn't hold it back anymore and smiled.
The two mothers looked curious, especially Mrs. Wolfhard. "What's the riddle you two are talking about? What little secret do we have that we don't know about?"
"Nothing, I have a few pots of flowers in my room, and sister Wei'er likes them."
Mrs. Seaforth sighed and thanked him on behalf of her daughter, but she also did not forget to "reprimand" her daughter: "There are so many flowers in the house, but you insisted on having your brother Finn's. It's really... You were like this when you were a child. Does your brother Finn have particularly good taste?"
Xu Weiwei awkwardly clung to her mother, buried her face in her shoulder, and begged her with practical actions to stop talking.
Mrs. Wolfhard was surprised and mercilessly mocked her son: "Ha, he has good taste? You just didn't see that his house is full of messy ugly things. Calling them 'flowers' even insults the word 'flowers'."
"I told him to buy him a new batch of expensive and beautiful ones, but he refused to let me. He treated them like treasures..."
Xu Weiwei opened her eyes wide in surprise. It turned out that he really liked her... Then why did she do this... Oh, never mind! She had no heart! Even if she did, it was just her ulterior motives!
Seven or eight flower pots were brought down, some large and some small. Seeing the real thing, Mrs. Seaforth could no longer praise it. She originally thought that her friend's words were a bit too much. How could she belittle her own son like that?
Now it seems that no one knows a child better than his mother...
"So many? Isn't it a bit too much, Wei'er, look at you..." Mrs. Seaforth patted her daughter's arm.
Xu Weiwei was embarrassed by what she heard, but she couldn't give up any of these.
"Auntie, it's okay. I'm tired of seeing these. Sister Wei, please help me clear some of them away so that I can make room for new ones." Finn said at the right time.
Mrs. Seaforth was just being polite and didn't really mean to blame her daughter. After hearing Finn say this, she couldn't help but have a better impression of him.
"It's just that... there are so many, our car may not be able to fit them all."
Mrs. Wolfhard said immediately, "That's fine. Let our driver drive the pickup truck over there."
"That would be great. I'll call home and ask them to pick up the phone."
"Why? Aren't you going home?" Mrs. Wolfhard asked puzzled.
Mrs. Sivers put her arm around Xu Weiwei's shoulders and said, "Now that we're here, Wei'er wants to go visit her grandmother. My mother has always had some problems with her legs, and Wei'er has been helping her lately."
Mrs. Wolfhard was confused. What could Selvie think? Did she understand? Although she was admitted to the medical school of Dawn University, she hadn't started studying yet.
Mrs. Wolfhard didn't ask any more questions, as these words would surely hurt feelings. On the contrary, Finn looked very interested.
"How do you treat it? Is it acupuncture as you said?"
"Yeah." Xu nodded slightly. Thinking that he had helped her so much, she should reciprocate. So she kindly asked, "Do you want to go over and take a look?"
"I can treat your hand while I'm at it. I don't have any tools with me right now, but I can do it here."
Finn agreed immediately, as if Xu Weiwei would regret it if he waited a second longer. "Thank you, I'm happy to do that. Is there anything I can do to prepare?"
"No need! You just need to bring one person with you!" Xu Weiwei agreed readily.
It wasn't until I sat in the same car with him that I realized I was a little worried. Would he accept it? Don't be scared away by seeing it.
Kane had the same idea. He put his hand on Finn's shoulder with sympathy and gloating: "You want to go here on your own. Don't run away if you are a man. If you are really scared, I will give you my shoulder..."
Kane was halfway through his words when he caught a glimpse of his sister's meaningful look and swallowed the rest of his words back.
Finn looked at him, then turned his gaze back to the front without saying a word. What kind of treatment could make his friend say such a thing? It must not be easy, and it might even be a little scary. He became more and more curious.
Mrs. Seaforth turned from the front and said, "Kane, don't scare him."
Then he smiled and comforted Finn: "It's not as exaggerated as he said. Don't be nervous."
Finn said politely but humorously, "Thank you, Auntie. We have all experienced torture lessons at school. It won't be more horrible than that."
"You'd better remember what you say now." Kane put his hands on the back of his head, with a tone of watching a show.
Ten minutes later, the car stopped in front of Cape's house.
In the villa, when old Mrs. Capet heard that her daughter's car had arrived, she was so scared that she stood up from the sofa and turned left and right like a headless fly, like a chick that had encountered its natural enemy.
"What are you doing?" the old man laughed at her.
Mrs. Capet threw herself back on the sofa in frustration, and said with a sad face: "You don't know that I love and fear Wei'er now."
"My knee has just been fine for a while, right? And now it's suffering again."
"Is it not enough for you to be a good and filial boy? And your knee doesn't hurt as much as before. I haven't heard you scream for a long time."
Mrs. Capet said unhappily, "I can't tell whether I am not sick or I am numbed by the bee sting. It doesn't hurt as much as before, but it itches! It itches so badly and I can't scratch it! It's even worse! I can only feel relieved when I fall asleep..."
"Hey!" Mrs. Capet's eyes suddenly lit up: "I'll go up and hide for a while, and you tell Wei'er that I'm not at home! I don't know where I'm going or when I'll be back, so let them go home."
The old man was amused and teased his wife: "How old are you? Why are you still hiding your illness and avoiding medical treatment?"
"I won't lie for you. I miss my darling grandson. There's no way I'm going to chase him away."
"Julian Capet!!!"
